By Andrew Johnson

It is easy to see that wireless technology is becoming quite popular with consumers. Internet connections have become wireless and printers too. Printers have been used remotely on business networks for many years, but wireless printers are a new addition to home networking. The idea of being able to print without connecting wires sounds great, but how well does it work and how much does it cost? People are saying many things about the new Canon wireless printers.

Are the new Canon wireless printers affordable? Buyers have had mixed reactions on that question. Some buyers have said that although the printer is amazing, it certainly cost a lot. Other buyers have stated that considering what the printer can do and the quality of the prints, it was quite affordable. Buyers have also said that the Canon wireless photo printers are a little expensive because they use ink very quickly.

What is the print quality like on these wireless printers? It seems that buyers are exceptionally happy with the way their printing projects are coming out on these Canon printers. I have one of the Canon's that is designed to print either documents or photos and it has been a very dependable printer that makes very nice looking prints. I am quite happy with my purchase and the price I paid for the printer.

How difficult is it to network these printers on your home network? Buyers have said that with just a small amount of computer experience it is possible to connect these printers wirelessly without much effort or time invested. There have been buyers that have experienced difficulty with the connection, but there are help lines to assist those with limited computer experience.

How far can I be from the printer ad have it still print? You can be a room or tow away from the printer and it will still print. Many of these models print from over 100 feet away. I was impressed by that distance. The distance may be affected a little depending upon the model and other variables. This is a great convenience for laptop users or people who share a printer.

I own a MAC, will this printer connect with my operating system? A couple of buyers reported that they did have some difficulty with connecting the printer through their MAC network. It seems that these wee cases of user-error, not problems with the printer or network. Help is available if you cannot get the printer to connect.

Overall, buyers have had a lot of good things to say about Canon wireless printers. They print well, they print over long distances and they are also easily connected. The only negative things that buyers mentioned were the price and the fact that the printer can go through ink quickly. - 29854
